Raja Noi’s South Tip offered us on August 30th one of the best dives ever. Perfect surface conditions, an estimated 50 Meter visibility, a huge School of uncountable Barracudas and much more! What a dive! Who says the diving in Phuket’s green season is not worth getting wet?
I did several dives during the last week in August 2010.
I want to say I had an incredible time and felt the diveasia crew were all outstanding. Chris (german with salt+pepper hair) was my divemaster for the first three days and took me through a refresher course and several dives after. Then I was assigned to Tada’s group and also had a great experience. Each instructor’s personality and methods are different, but all very competent and great to learn from. I appreciated Chris’s strong teaching skills and his understanding of the geography (ex: he knew where those seahorses were hiding) and Tada exhibits a zen-like presence underwater that’s calming and shows his love of the environment. Finally I was grouped with Marcello who also did an excellent job despite the rougher conditions on that day. There was a brief storm, stronger currents, low-visibility and 2 of the divers in our group seemed very clumsy and unaware which meant that Marcello had to be extra watchful for them. The food was excellent and the rest of the staff were very professional. I’d definitely recommend diveasia based on my experience and hopefully can make a return trip soon.
